We communicated research about the Chicago area housing market through an interactive map that earned national media attention.
DataMade hosted several training sessions for DePaul Institute for Housing Studies staff on working with TileMill, a studio for creating interactive maps with geospatial data.
DePaul staff then created their own map tiles showing housing stock composition for Cook County, which DataMade used to create a customized map interface for browsing and sharing this rich information.
Shortly after launch, the site was featured on the Washington Post Wonkblog and WBEZ, and continues to get significant recurring traffic today.
