Illinois Sunshine is a tool for browsing political contributions in the state of Illinois.
We partnered with The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, a non-partisan public interest group that conducts research and advocates reforms to promote public participation in government, address the role of money in politics and encourage integrity, accountability, and transparency in government.
The data comes daily and directly from the Illinois State Board of Elections, which has been collecting this data electronically since 1994. We built Illinois Sunshine to give journalists, activists and citizens better access to this data.
